    Dude, this is not wrong. The point is that regardless of whether the word is misused, no one noticed.

    What’s wrong is the implicit claim that forgery is more common or easier in lit crit than in the other disciplines. It’s not.

    Well, I don’t think they are saying it’s more common. :)

    You know what’s more common and easier to fake expertise in than crit lit? Business-talk. In fact, any discipline that relies on jargon to explain abstract concepts are susceptible to pretenders.
